When Two Brides Are Better Than One!

On Friday March 11, 2016 Elle A Events had the pleasure of celebrating the love of not one stunning bride, but two. Jenna and Janelle Eagle-Robles gave their guests an evening to remember as the two got married at Big Daddy’s Antiques in Culver City.

We started the day bright and early at the Los Angeles Flower Market where we gathered a multitude of different rustic florals including our favorite, succulents! Luckily Big Daddy’s Antiques is a very unique space that did not require our team to bring in too much decoration, instead we were definitely able to curate the pieces in house and add our own special touches. This allowed us to bring out the best in an already beautiful yet unique venue.

Of course nothing would have been possible without a team of amazing vendors. Thank you all for helping make this event a huge success!

All That Glitters Is Gold ... Dinosaurs.

What started as a rainy day sure ended in sunshine as we helped celebrate and coordinate Sammie Grace's 1st Birthday party at our FAVORITE venue, Behind The Blue Door.

Before any great event comes the prep work. We started with creating a wall covered in pink and white streamers as well as different types of ribbon and some string to add texture. We then added custom frames with pictures of Sammie that were painted with gold glitter.

Also who knew Dinosaurs could be so fancy? Well Shelby Kravitz, Sammie's hip Granny and owner of Behind the Blue Door did because she created some of the most chic dinosaur toys we've ever seen! She covered these little creatures by mixing not one, but three different types of gold glitter. The end result was nothing short of fabulous.

Elle A Events personally started the day bright and early at the LA Flower Market where we incorporated florals in different shades of ivory, white, champagne and of course of pink. We also intermixed succulents, which were placed in unique candle holders and teacups.

Finally, as a classy touch we also hand painted 10 bottles in gold. They were then filled with one large pink peony and a smaller white rose to add a simple yet elegant flare.

This party was definitely one of the most chic Birthday's we've ever been to and it was an honor to help celebrate the cutest peanut ever, Sammie Grace.

Goldies 50th Surprise Birthday Party!

On Saturday January 23 2016, friends and family gathered at The Argyle in Hollywood to celebrate the 50th Birthday of our dear friend, Karen Goldberg. Guests came from all over the country to surprise her and it was definitely a celebration worth remembering.

Guests arrived draped in their finest 1920's garments with a live band to set the mood. Decorated with feathers, pearls and sequins, the space would have made anyone feel as if they taken a step right into the set of The Great Gatsby. The ceilings were filled with gold and black balloons while the champagne flowed all evening.

What a special moment it was seeing such a genuinely, surprised reaction from Karen as we pulled back the curtain and everyone yelled "Surprise"! Anyone stepping into the space could feel the enormous amount of love and positive vibes throughout the entire evening. We were so honored to be able to help celebrate Karen and create what her dear wife Liz had imagined for Karen's big day. Again, Happy 50th Birthday Karen. WE LOVE YOU & Liz!

Special thanks go to our incredible designer bakers Kneady Bakery! Please check out their site for their delicious treats and silly sense of humor that makes them truly one-of-a-kind.

Married By Mom and Dad

Hi Everyone! We are so excited to announce we will be making our third national television debut on TLC! This time it's for the show 'Married By Mom and Dad' which airs this Sunday at 10:00pm. It was an honor to meet and work with the amazing production crew, led by the fearless producer Jeanelle Eagle and help The Sargents create their special day. The wedding ceremony took place on the Santa Monica State Beach and the reception was held at the Annenberg Beach House.

We were hired to handle all florals and design for the entire event. Not only were we in charge of the bouquets and boutonnieres for the bridal party, but we designed and created all the florals from the cake to the centerpieces. The color palate used for the wedding were pastels ranging from pale pinks to yellows with green splashes. Main florals used to create this look were roses, dahlias, peonies and coffee beans.

Fall "Do-It-Yourself" Fun

Fall "Do-It-Yourself" Fun

Every year when the seasons change and that cold crisp air hits our faces, we are overcome with joy here at Elle A Events. We love spending more time indoors and what better way to stay busy, then with some fabulous D.I.Y. activities!

Now because we love anything that shines, we will be sharing some of our favorite projects that include ... glitter. Some of these projects are even perfect to keep and save for the Holiday Season!

Glitter Pinecones:

The best part about these is they make a great "transition" decoration. They look good on a coffee table October - January or even as an ornament on a Christmas tree! All you need are pinecones, a sponge brush, glue, newspaper to control your mess and a glitter color of choice. You can even paint them different colors before you add the glitter and use that as a base coat instead of glue!

Now this next step is optional, but if you’re worried about bugs, just put your pinecones in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. That will ensure all those little creatures do not get into your home, but be sure to line your baking sheet with foil so none of the sap gets anywhere else!

Glitter Acorns:

Much like the pinecones, all you need is glue, glitter, and newspaper. You can decorate just the tops of the acorns or even the entire thing. They can be made into a wreath, ornaments, or even a beautiful garland. You can also just paint the base a solid color and the tops glitter so they look like lights for Christmas time!

Brain Food and Fun at The Wedding MBA!

At Elle A Events we are huge believers in striving to not only better ourselves, but better our company as well. From September 14th-17th we had the pleasure of attending the Wedding MBA Conference held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This was a 3-day event jam packed with amazing speakers and booths (which we had a little too much fun with by the way).

Whether you are a florist, caterer, planner or even the owner of a wedding venue, this convention had business, coordinating/design tips and speakers for everyone. It was such an incredible event and we cannot wait to implement everything we learned. We highly suggest this to anyone looking to gain more knowledge of the wedding and event industries!

Check out some fun photos from the event and a video below to see how we entertained ourselves in between the speakers. Thank you to everyone for having us! See you all next year.

Premiering SoulBlazing by Lisa Haisha

On November 24, 2014, Elle A Events had the pleasure of helping Lisa Haisha launch her new web series and podcast, Legacy Series with Lisa Haisha, at the Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills. Motivational speakers, entertainers and celebrities attended, such as special guests Larry Dunn of Earth, Wind & Fire, actress Alexis Carra of the show Mixology, composer Ralph Riekermann and award-winning Broadway actor Ben Vereen.

There was an astounding donation of $20,000 from Haisha’s Whispers of the Children’s Hearts Foundation to the non-profit “Kids in the Spotlight.” This wonderful organization helps to guide foster children through their struggles, using filmmaking to show these kids their inner strength. More information can be found on their site: KidsInTheSpotlight.org. [hyperlink]

Legacy Series showcases the life stories of unique individuals—leaders, artists or even healers.  The series tells their stories and asks them what truly motivates them in life and gives them an opportunity to share advice. We are happy to say the event was a huge success! Check out some fun pictures from the evening:

Fans Skied Like Champions!

Elle A Events created the activation for SkyTechSport in Beaver Creek, Colorado, with the company’s famous Ski Simulator. From February 2 to 15, Elle A Events and SkyTechSport helped lucky fans virtually ski courses like their favorite Olympic competitors.

The simulator was set up in the “fan zone,” which allowed for amazing press. The mountains in Beaver Creek were GPS scanned in order to create the exact likeness of the actual mountains. The two courses used were “Birds of Prey” and “Raptor,” which are some of Beaver Creek’s most famous courses.

The simulator helped garner SkyTechSport some great press, and we were able to get them featured in Sports Illustrated! You can read the article HERE. There was also great press from Denver KUSA-TV 9 News, KCNC-TV and NBC Television. This was such a great opportunity for our client and Elle A Events! This event wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing sponsors: Beaver Creek, Powershares and EverBank.

We also hosted private parties for VIP guests as well as our sponsors throughout the two-week event. We had a blast! Check out these great pictures:

Everything Floral

Flowers are definitely one of my favorite things about wedding season. With so many themes and varieties of flowers to choose from, the possibilities are endless…so I wanted to share some of my favorite ideas!

From bouquets to centerpieces, see the pictures below for some fun ideas of ways to incorporate different flowers to fit your special themed wedding.

Vintage Rustic: I love the pastel palette of these arrangements and adding pearls for that extra-special touch.

Romantic: I love the different shades of pinks used in these bouquets.

Summer: Having a wedding in June or July? These bright and vivid colors are sure to make all your guests happy. You can even incorporate some fruit, like lemons!

Fairytale: Your prince charming will love these ideas. Putting flowers under a glass dome is perfect for that fairytale feel!

International Press Event for the LA Auto Show 2014

In case you couldn’t make it to Lake Tahoe and ski down the mountains during the LA Auto Show weekend, SkyTechSport brought the mountains to you with their famous ski simulator! We helped represent KIA motors, and Elle A Events came up with the booth concept.

There was no limit to the participants who ventured to try the simulator, as SkyTechSport has once again proved that the ski simulator is a massive hit. People all over the event loosened their ties in order to give the simulator a try.

The event was held at the LA Convention Center on November 17-19, 2014.
