With Turkey Day right around the corner and the stress of holiday travel, menus, and digging out your favorite “Thanksgiving Pants” from the closet, sometimes finding the perfect centerpiece for your holiday feast can go overlooked. The good news is that finding your centerpiece inspiration is easier than ever, and breaking out those DIY skills can provide a fun escape from a holiday checklist that can at times feel a bit overwhelming.

Listed below are a few of our favorite ideas that we have found that will leave your guests impressed, with having to break the bank!

Glitter is a holiday trend that tends to stay in style. Make the most of this easy DIY supply by adding touches of gold to your Thanksgiving centerpiece.  Feel free to use any pumpkins that you may have left over from Halloween, branches, pinecones or picking up a few extra gourds on one of your many Thanksgiving supply grocery store trips.

Simply spray paint these items with a gold coat or on items like the pinecones you may find it easier to roll the edges in glue and sprinkle on some gold glitter. When set on top of a pretty burlap runner, this look feels modern and fresh, yet decidedly rustic.

Coat approximately 12-14 cobs of dried corn with metallic gold and copper spray paint. Once dry, hot-glue cobs to the perimeter of a 6-inch round vase. Tie it all together with a ribbon of your choice. Fill vase with floral foam and any choice of season flowers. (The picture above includes dahlias, zinnias, and mountain ash berries.)

This centerpiece will again require the use of different pumpkins and gourds that you may choose to leave completely untouched if you wish (shown in the photo above).  Where it gets a bit more complicated is taking the time to discover the perfect log! But once you’ve found it you will need to drill holes in the top, depending on how many volatile candies you would like to have displayed. This one is definitely a bit trickier, but the good news is, if you are able to save the log, come Christmas time it will serve as another great center piece, this time set with greenery, berries, and pinecones! We love repurposing items!

No matter what it is that you decide to put in the center of your table, make sure to appreciate the quality time with family and loved ones.

Happy Turkey Day!
